My artistic practice is rooted in both creation and education, serving as a space to reflect on current social, cultural, and environmental issues. Working at the intersection of clay sculpture and mixed media painting, I use symbolism and storytelling to explore themes of women’s experiences, cultural memory, and ecological consciousness. I intentionally use minimal glazing in my ceramic work, allowing the raw qualities of clay to speak for themselves, emphasizing the material’s tactile and earthy essence. In contrast, my paintings are filled with vibrant colors, inviting viewers to experience the beauty of the natural world and inspiring a sense of care and protection for the environment.
Through dialogue with women’s narratives, my work seeks to reveal resilience, identity, and agency, inviting viewers into a contemplative space where personal and collective histories intermingle. My process is informed by ritual and ancestral tradition, grounding contemporary concerns within a broader cultural and spiritual framework. As both an artist and educator, I strive to create work and learning environments that foster connection between individuals, communities, and the planet while nurturing awareness, dialogue, and transformation.
