Andrea

Andrea wants a man and a dog. She has the dog, but is on a quest to find a man. She wants to find her other half, our soul mate that women are told exist somewhere in the world. If one meets Andrea she doesn’t seem to be on a quest. Our society is not as modern as it pretends to be. Women have inherited more problems than before. Women’s success is measured by what kind of work they have and who they are married to. Society also wants women to look like super models. Of course as a successful woman one has to foot the bill for the gym, the plastic surgeon and all that follows.  A woman cannot be average anymore.  Andrea is anything but average, she is funny, a good friend, intelligent, compassionate, loves animals and is focused on what she wants to accomplish. In one of our many talk she told me she thought that in the order to find herself a husband she had to reinvent herself. To be what she is not.

Andrea has someone else on her body to symbolize the rebirth she is supposed to go through. The person is pointing toward Andrea left hand which doesn’t have the “magical” ring.

The glaze used on Andrea represents the imperfections of being human.

Humanity comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. And as human beings we should accept others for who they are and not trying to make them look like the flat glossy pictures used in magazines.
